Match the platform to the coaching delivery model first. Kajabi is strongest if you want structured coaching, scheduling, client dashboards, reminders, recurring payments, bundles, upsells, email follow-ups, and community in one place. The catch is price: EverythingLMS records Kajabi from $89/mo, and its pricing page lists payment-processing fees plus third-party provider fees in some setups.
Do the fee maths on your real package price. A 5% or 7.5% platform fee matters much more on a $2,000 coaching package than on a $49 mini-course. Podia says Mover has a 5% Podia transaction fee, while Shaker and Earthquaker have no Podia transaction fees. Teachable says Starter has a 7.5% transaction fee, while Builder and higher current plans are listed at 0%.
Choose Podia if you want a simpler all-in-one setup. It includes coaching, courses, downloads, events, community, website, landing pages, checkout, and sales tax support across 230 countries. The trade-off is that it is less of a heavy funnel machine than Kajabi, and Podia says plan limits cannot be exceeded without upgrading.
Choose Teachable if the course is the core asset and coaching is the premium layer. It supports one-on-one and small-group coaching, milestones, scheduling, video calls, messages, files, and selling coaching alongside courses or downloads. The downside is fee complexity, especially on Starter, optional services, PayPal, Buy Now Pay Later, chargebacks, and currency conversion.
Do not ignore community fit. Skool makes sense if the paid offer is mainly discussion, accountability, and group momentum, with courses supporting the community. If your offer depends on polished lessons and interactive learning, LearnWorlds is usually the more relevant alternative, but it is a course-design choice rather than a coaching-business-in-a-box choice.
Check what changed before relying on old reviews. Teachable replaced Basic, Pro, and Pro+ with Starter, Builder, Growth, and Advanced from June 2025. Kajabi changed pricing for existing customers from the first billing date on or after January 13, 2026. Podia’s 2026 product changes moved community deeper into the core product and removed separate free community plans.
